Australian Pacific Indigenous Personnel
Gladstone
APIP is an Indigenous-owned labour hire and recruitment company. We recruit for Gladstone employers across civil and commercial construction, manufacturing, mining, transport, administration and retail, and we support the people we place once they start work.
Gladstone is an industrial port city in Central Queensland, and heavy industry shapes its job market. At the 2021 Census the biggest industries of employment for Gladstone residents were aluminium smelting, alumina production and heavy and civil engineering construction. The same Census counted 3,946 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents in the Gladstone local government area, 6.2 per cent of the population, with a median age of 20.
Industrial sites expect people to arrive ready. We help job seekers get the tickets, licences and training a role calls for before they start, match them to work that suits them, and then stay involved with mentoring on and off site, transport assistance, pastoral care and support for cultural and emotional wellbeing.
Looking for Indigenous jobs in Gladstone? Register with APIP and tell us the work you are after.
Employers can use APIP for labour hire, casual or permanent, and for specialist recruitment and job matching. We also take care of training and licensing, payroll, insurance and workers’ compensation claims, and HR administration, so you deal with one point of contact for the people and the paperwork.
If your business is building an Indigenous employment footprint, we can help with that too, including education for your team on working effectively with staff from Indigenous backgrounds.
If you are a Gladstone employer who needs job-ready people, contact us about the roles you need filled. If you are looking for work, register with us to get started. We recruit from our Townsville base across North Queensland, Mackay, Rockhampton and the other areas we cover.
